Retirement Boarding

Freedom, Forage, Friends

Retired horses live in two balanced herds on either a 1/3-mile track system or a 4-acre hilly pasture.

Both groups of horses have forage available 24/7 (hay for the track horses, grass and hay for the pastured horses), which keeps horses happy and healthy.

The herds are carefully managed for group compatibility and individual needs.

Individual Care and Attention

Each retired horse is managed specific to their individual needs. Blanketing, forage based supplemental food (Haystack Special Blend, Alfalfa cubes, senior feed, and beet pulp), annual fecal egg count and vet-guided deworming, farrier costs, and holding for vet or other appointments (paid by owner) are included in the board fee.
